About This Website
This site is dedicated to change. I spent many hours during my childhood poring over my father's war material. Prominent in my thoughts were countless pictures of emaciated refugees in concentration camps. I vowed that one of my goals in life would be to seek justice, freedom, equality, and ultimately, peace. As i continued my education, reading sources such as Noam Chomsky, Howard Zinn and even Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz, I came to see the world in terms of the struggle between the wealthy and the poor, with many folks in between either un-informed or with confused loyalties. These impressions were strongly reinforced by my own experience of working in a factory for more than thirty years. All of the issues that i care passionately about-- environment, justice, peace-- are interwoven into the very fabric of a rapacious economic system that unashamedly steals wealth from the working classes and rewards the ultra-rich, while attempting to brainwash all of us into complacent acceptance. On this website you will find posters, cartoons, poetry and writing from the point of view of working folk engaged in the struggle for justice. I hope that this site may in some way act as a resource in that struggle. richard myers Denver, Colorado USA
